14-15:30h Creativity at Work
What makes your new business idea unique, characterful and engaging? How can your startup establish an authentic and meaningful customer connection right from the outset?

In a world increasingly populated with fake news and AI, how can we ensure our ventures are brought to life in a human centred way while taking full advantage of available leading edge technologies? As part of Startup Dusseldorf Hazel Macmillan will give unique insight into how a creative approach in business can inform important commercial decisions from day one.

This talk will be followed by an informal Q&A session.

17-20:00h Visualisation as a Boost for Ideas
Visual thinking brings your ideas to life. We show you how you can boost your company success through visualisation.

How do you arouse your creativity? How do you get ideas? How do you manage to put them into practice? The magic word is: visualisation. It is the connecting piece between idea and reality. It is the path that takes your idea towards reality. Visualisation allows you to understand complex projects and to explain and convey them to other people. So visualisation is not just something for artists and designers. It will also help you to get one step closer to your solution or your goal. This workshop will give you a grounding in visual thinking. You will learn how to put your ideas into visual form:

to present, organise and structure them. You will discover how visual thinking can help you find solutions, develop concepts and work together with others. The best part about it is that you do not need to have a particular talent for drawing or graphics.

Why should you take part in the workshop? Quite simply, if you can visualise your ideas, it will help you to communicate them in a better, faster and clearer way. When people understand your idea, you will be able to really inspire them with it. And visualisation will also help you to more easily recognise connections and interdependencies between the various aspects. In the workshop, you will discover the innovative technologies that Wacom has developed so that you can put visual thinking into effect. And you will naturally have the chance to network with like-minded people.
